Master Paul Carpenter - Kudan (9th Dan)
Master Instructor

Master Paul Carpenter is the Master Instructor and owner of U.S. Martial Arts. He began his training in 1976 with Grand Master James Coglin in Shotokan, accomplishing his black belt in 1979. Master Carpenter has trained in Tae kwon Do, Kenpo, Ninjitsu and Arnis, obtaining the rank of Sandan 3rd Dan Black Belt. He resumed his training with Grand Master Coglin with Grand Master Coglin, Master Paul feels truly blessed to have had the opportunity to train under such a talented Grand Master who has demonstrated the essence of the martial arts - honor, respect, technical skills and spiritual knowledge. Master Carpenter holds a 9th Dan black belt under Master Coglin and is a 2007 & 2008 inductee in the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame. In 2008 Master Carpenter also recieved his Ph.D./D.Sc./Ma.Sc.

Master Carpenter excels in all aspects of his choosen styles of martial arts and is an accomplished tournament competitor. His knowledge and expertise is exemplified by his reputation, the success of his school, and the skill level and the proficiency of his students.

Master Carpenter has been training martial arts students full time since 1994 in the Cherry Creek School District, private care facilities, and since 2001 at his training dojo in Denver.

Sensei Justin Carpenter - Sandan (3rd Dan)
Senior Head Certified Instructor

Sensei Justin Carpenter is the Senior Head Instructor of U.S. Martial Arts. He has been training since the mid 90's in Tae Kwon Do, Kenpo, Shotokan, Ninjitsu, and Arnis. He continues his Martial Arts training, training in Jujitsu and Krav Maga. His talent is unmatched as an instructor, State and National competitor and martial artist. Sensei Justin was awarded Teacher of the Year in 2007 and is instrumental in the development of USMA new programs. He is Sensei Paul's oldest son and has been training and teaching in the martial arts with his father a long time.

Sensei Matt Rusten - Sandan (3rd Dan)
Senior Certified Instructor

Sensei Matt Rusten is a Senior Certified Instructor of US Martial Arts. He has been training in the marital arts since 1992. Sensei Matt has trained in Tae Kwon Do, Kenpo, Shotokan, Escrima, Mui Thai Kickboxing, Jiu-Jitsu, and Judo. Sensei Matt has earned CKA state championships in forms, sparring, and grappling divisions for four years and is also an accomplished national tournament competitior. Sensei Matt has demonstrated excellence in both his instructional skills and technical abilities. While attending college at the University of Northern Colorado, Sensei Matt has assisted in teaching the University's self-defense classes.

Sensei Josh Carpenter - Sandan (3rd Dan)
Senior Certified Instructor

Sensei Josh Carpenter is one of U.S. Martial Arts top Senior Certified Instructors. He has been training since the mid 90's and is an excellent instructor,State Champion tournament competitor and martial artist. His expertise and skill level is unmatched. He continues his training in Jujitsu and Krav Maga. Sensei Josh is Sensei Paul's second son and has been training in the martial arts with his father a long time.

Sensei Susan Carpenter - Nidan (2nd Dan)
Senior Instructor

Sensei Susan Carpenter is one of U.S. Martial Arts Senior Instructors. She is currently working on obtaining her 3rd Dan. Sensei Susan has been training over 7 years in the martial arts and is an excellent instructor, State Champion tournament competitor and martial artist. Sensei Susan is Sensei Paul's wife.

Sensei Bailey Bullard - Shodan (1st Dan)
Instructor

Sensei Bailey Bullard is one of U.S. Martial Arts instructors. She is currently working on obtaining her 2nd Dan. Sensei Bailey has been training in the martial arts since USMA opened in 2001 and is an excellent instructor.

Sempai Zach Carpenter - High Brown
Asst. Instructor

Sempai Zach Carpenter is one of U.S. Martial Arts assistant instructors. He is currently working on obtaining his black belt and assists in teaching all classes, including grappling. Sempai Zach has been training in the martial arts since USMA opened in 2001. Sempai Zach is Sensei Paul's third son.
